Mrs Savita Chaudhry

Mrs Savita Chaudhry President AFFWA (R), was born on 26 Oct at Hazaribagh. She joined the Air Force family on 16 Dec 94.

Hailing from a BSF background, she spent her formative years at various places, across the country, graduating from Shri Venkateswara College, Delhi University, with B.Sc. (Hons). Over the years, she has continued to enhance her educational qualifications with B ED, MA (English) and presently she is pursuing MA (Psy) through IGNOU.

Mrs Savita Chaudhry has been following her passion for learning and teaching in whichever opportunity that came her away. These ranged from teaching, including administrative appointment of Principal in Air Force Schools, Civil Schools, participating in Delhi Govt Scheme for English education of children from economically weaker families and a stint at the Futura International School at Stockholm, Sweden.

She has been an active member of the AFFWA community for more than 30 years. During these years she has keenly participated in the various activities and initiatives of the association in different capacities. She has worked effectively as President AFWWA (L) at BKT and Kalaikunda and was actively involved in the upgradation of the local schools as well as engaging with Sangini’s towards their self-empowerment. During her stay in Stockholm. She helped conceive and organize the cultural show for the first ever India-Unlimited, a unique platform for showcasing India in Sweden.

Prior to assuming her current role as President AFFWA (R) CAC, she was the Vice President AFFWA (R) at HQ SAC, Thiruvanathapuram.

The couple are blessed with two children, Nikhil and Anushka, and both are working in the corporate sector.

She is a people’s person who loves to work for a sustainable environment.
