
The Ability Dialogues 4.0
To mark the 20th anniversary of Umeed Vocational Training Centre (Umeed VTC), the Air Force Families Welfare Association (AFFWA), in collaboration with Tech Mahindra Foundation (TMF) and FaujiMitra, organised “The Ability Dialogues 4.0 : Forces’ Perspective” on
11 Sep 25 at the Air Force Auditorium, Subroto Park, New Delhi.
The event was graced by Guest of Honour Ms Kavita Narayan, Senior Technical Advisor, Human Resources for Health to the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, alongside the august presence of Mrs Sunita Dwivedi, President AWWA, Mrs Sarita Singh, President AFFWA, Mr Chetan Kapoor, CEO Tech Mahindra Foundation, and Wg Cdr Laxman Joshi (Retd) of FaujiMitra.
A thought-provoking panel discussion featured Capt Akhilesh Saxena (Retd), Ms Alina Alam, CEO Mitti Café, Ms Manisha Verma, Faculty Inclusive Education HQ AWES, Wg Cdr GJ Reddy, Hony Jt Secy AFFWA, and Mr Shorya Sood, Research Scholar. The panellists shared their experiences and insights on disability inclusion and evolving societal needs. A close-door round table discussion further brought together perspectives from the Armed Forces, Corporate Leaders, and NGOs.
For the first time, the Armed Forces Welfare organisations, Corporates, and NGOs came together on one platform, demonstrating a collective commitment towards advancing disability inclusion and celebrating two decades of Umeed VTC’s remarkable journey in empowering the disability sector.
