Mrs Yalla Sreevalli

Mrs Yalla Sreevalli joined the Air Force Families Welfare Association (AFFWA) as a Sangini in 1993. She has completed her Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Master’s degree in Physics. In due course, she also completed her Bachelor’s degree in Education. She served as a science teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya of Delhi and Pune.

Since joining the AFFWA, she has been actively participating in various activities. Her contributions towards welfare activities include both within and outside the Air Force Stations, teaching under-privileged children, managing various AFFWA ventures, counselling other Sanginis and those in need.

As President AFFWA (L) 7 BRD Tughlakabad, her efforts towards welfare and upliftment particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic were effective. During her tenure at Tughlakabad, a positive impact and major improvement of Umeed Vidya Kiran School was achieved. Her contribution towards Knittathon Drive and as an integral member of the Vayan team at Air HQ were significant.

Mrs Sreevalli is a voracious reader of fact and fiction and enjoys listening to classical music. She believes in the dictum “Live and Let Live”.

She is married to Air Marshal Yalla Umesh, VSM, PhD and they are blessed with two daughters. Elder daughter Vidya is in the Financial Consultancy field after completing BE (Hons) in Computer Science and Masters in Business Administration. Younger daughter Vandana holds Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence.
