

Mrs Nisha Singh
President AFFWA (R) EAC

Mrs Nisha Singh has assumed charge as AFFWA President (Regional) on 01 Oct 24. She was born on 17 Feb and became a part of the Indian Air Force family after getting married to Air Marshal Surat Singh on 02 Apr 91. She is a post graduate in English Literature, PG Diploma in Translation and holds a B Ed degree. She has also worked in All India Radio as a Compere.
She has accompanied the Air Marshal in all his assignments within India and abroad. During the past 33 years, she has been actively involved with AFFWA and has worked for various social causes during her stay in different Air Force Stations and abroad.
While working as President AFFWA (Local) at Air Force Station Memaura and Pune, she contributed immensely towards upgrading facilities and enhancing the environment for Specially Abled Children of IAF personnel. She has been enthusiastically involved in empowering the Sanginis towards elevating their knowledge and skill levels. Being a qualified teacher, she has been passionate towards improving the educational environment in Schools for the children of Air Force personnel. Even during her stay abroad, she has been active in spreading awareness about IAF and its activities.
As an executive committee member of AFFWA at EAC, with her knowledge of knitting she was able to lead the AFFWA members to contribute to their full potential towards Knittathon Drive which eventually led to a place in Guinness Book of World Records. She has been awarded the prize for knitting the maximum number of caps from EAC.
Mrs Nisha Singh is a caring wife, doting mother, and a successful home maker. She is passionate towards singing, painting and gardening.
The Air Marshal and Mrs Nisha Singh are blessed with two children. Daughter Monil is married and working in the corporate sector. Son Abhimanyu is a lawyer and working in a law firm in Delhi.
